Saved Through His Death2009-04-20
Saved Through His Death
They hung my Lord upon a tree
Crucified for a sinner like you and me
When it was finished, my soul He saved
Then they laid Him to rest forever in a grave
But death could not keep His body down
For on the third day His body could not be found
What a MIRACLE, What a WONDER, He had gained the victory
He had risen, OH YES, There’s now hope for you and me
As I ponder on the price that Jesus had to pay
The blood, the tears, the pain, the jeers, the humiliating display
I can’t help but to give my whole heart to the Lord
And press on towards obtaining my heavenly reward.
So during this Easter time as we reflect
The gift that God has freely given, we should not forget
For we would all be lost if Jesus did not die
Because He rose and conquered death salvation can be mine.
