OTHER NOTICES

St. Kitts Regional Council 2009 Advent Service | Sunday 29th November

Next Sunday November 29, 2009 the whole Anglican Community on St. Kitts will gather in St. Peter’s Parish for the 2009 Advent Sunday joint service. The worship will be held at the recreation grounds in Parray’s village. We are asking all our sister church Parishioners to be there in large numbers on that Sunday to join us in welcoming all the Anglicans from across the whole of St. Kitts to our sister Parish.

Holy Trinity Christmas Programme | Sunday 13th Dec

We are making a special appeal for members of the congregation to come forward and offer themselves to take part in our annual Christmas programme. More and more we are finding it very difficult nigh impossible to get the older children involved. This year we are asking for adult involvement as a way of motivating our older children to get involved.

The programme will take place on Sunday December 13 at 4:00pm. Please speak to Sister Ena Callender about playing your part in the programme. Thanks in advance as we look forward to your kind co-operation.

Pre-Christmas Flea Market Sale | Sunday 20th Dec

We advise everyone that this activity is on for Sunday December 20, after our 7:00am Mass. We are now making our appeal for items to be sold at that annual clean out and clean up activity for Christmas. All parishioners are asked to look and see what items they have that have not been used for years. This is an appropriate time to get rid of those good things that you have not found the space and or occasion to use for some years. Donate them to the Parish for our Pre-Christmas Flea Market Sale. It allows you to get rid of unnecessary things and gives the chance for the Parish to raise well needed funds.

Adult Confirmation

Are you 16 years and over and feel called to build a stronger relationship with God? Please call into the Parish Office to speak with the Parish Priest.

Adults who would like to be confirmed are invited to speak with the Parish Priest without delay.

SUNDAYS AT HOLY TRINITY

We remind all our members that as part of our Evangelism and Outreach ministry the Sundays have all been arranged for special focus as a way of trying to increase attendance at worship.

1ST SUNDAYS

Youth Sunday

The young people under the leadership of our Parish’s AYPA will lead our worship with the prayers, lessons, collection of offerings and any special items or inputs they wish to have to make the service more youth friendly. We are making a special appeal for all concerned to encourage the young people and children that they have contact or connections with to come out to church on YOUTH SUNDAY, the 1st Sunday in each month.

2ND SUNDAYS

Family Sunday

We have all heard and many of us have actually quoted the saying “the family that prays together stays together”.  It is a true saying and reminds us of the importance of families worshipping together.  Our Parish has brought the FAMILY SUNDAY on stream as our way of encouraging families to worship together as a means of strengthening their unity and cohesiveness.  Remember on that day we invite all family member to come to the altar as one to receive God’s special blessing and prayers to live in love and harmony.

3RD SUNDAYS

Christian Education Sunday

In keeping with the resolution from the last Diocesan Synod in June 2005, that we pay attention to whole Parish Christian Education once per month, we have declared the 3rd Sunday as CHRISTIAN EDUCATION SUNDAY.  On this day rather than have a sermon we will study some particular Christian Education topic or Biblical book.  Please note that because of the special studies in Lent and the pulpit exchanges this programme is suspended until after Easter.

4TH SUNDAYS

Mother's Union Sunday

On this day the Parish’s MOTHERS’ UNION will lead the worship through reading the lessons and prayers during the service.   It is a time when we highlight the very important role that women play in the life work and witness of our churches.  We hope that many other women will be encouraged to be part of the MOTHERS’ UNION as it continues to carry on a most vitally important ministry not only in this island and Diocese but also throughout the World-wide Anglican Communion.

5TH SUNDAYS

Friendship Sunday

On these Sundays all members are to be evangelists for Christ by inviting new persons to worship. The person who brings the most visitors will get the Parish Priest quarterly prize for evangelist of that quarter.  We ask all our members to take note of this and use the FRIENDSHIP & FELLOWSHIP SUNDAY to get neighbours and friends who have not been worshipping to reconnect to Christ and the Church. The first Friendship and Fellowship Sunday is planned for April 30, 2006.  Please begin now to extend invitation to friends to worship with us on that day.
