Multi-Purpose Center: Work Still to be Done

This year all the Parish’s Fund raising activities will be put on to raise money for the full completion of the first floor of our multi-purpose center. There is still an enormous amount of work to be done to bring this section of the building to completion.

On the outside of the building, we have some sealing work to do on the roof to prevent water from seeping into the building when it rains. The stage has to be built for the hall portion of the center. The bar is also to be constructed for that same section of the building.

The section that is now used as the storeroom has to be remodeled to set up a proper and functional office for the Parish. The outside of the building has to be painted so that it can have a finished appearance. We also have to construct a suitable sign for advertising the building. We are looking forward to the completion of all these bits and pieces as soon as possible. On completion of the work outlined we intend to have some kind of service to mark the full completion of the first floor of the center. The service will also provide an opportunity for us to thank God and the many persons, agencies and organizations that were instrumental in the construction of the center.

Brothers, sisters, friends and supporters we ask you to make a very special effort to make the fundraisers this year bigger than they have been in the past so that we can raise the well-needed funds to bring this very significant project to completion. Once completed the center will generate funds from rental, which we can use towards the completion of the next floor. If you have been accustomed to take two tickets for fund raising activities, please try and take another two to sell to your co-workers, friends, relatives or neighbours. This will help us to increase the amount of money we generate from our activities; this will allow us to move on more speedily with the task of completing the first floor of the Multi-Purpose Center.
