RELATIONSHIP WITH THE ISLAND COUNCIL

St. Peter’s has always promoted and supported the work of the Island Council, whether the Council decides to have a fun day or a training camp, the St. Peter’s branch has always been there.  We take much pride in knowing that our Council can be assured of St. Peter’s representation at any I.C. endeavour.

The St. Peter’s Executive always knows exactly what work the Island Council is doing, as our representation at monthly meetings is constant. We can truthfully say our group is always represented by at least three (3) members at the monthly I.C. meetings.

This branch has been well represented in terms of numbers and participation at all activities put on by the Council.  We have been present and accounted for at all Corporate Worships, thus far, the Christmas Social, weekend camps and also the Conference 2007 Planning Committee.

The current President of St. Peter’s branch is also the current Island Council President and with the support of her branch executive is doing good work in this position.

JUNIOR WEEKEND CAMP 2007

The second annual A.Y.P.A. Island Council Junior Weekend Camp was held on the weekend of the 2nd – 4th March at Holy Trinity Multi-Purpose Centre.  The executive turned to Miss Delores Hobson to select those persons who she thought were suitable to represent our branch at the camp, as she is the person in charge of the junior group.  She selected Tuworld Slader, Antoinette, Danette and St. Clair Bass and Asheshia Paul.  The Island Council executive members commended the representatives of our branch and some members: Tuworld Slader and St. Clair Bass were mentioned by name and congratulated.  Each camper received a certificate of participation and some received special awards.  St. Clair Bass’ camp group was awarded “Best Working Group” and as he was the group leader he accepted the award.  Tuworld Slader was awarded “Most Helpful Camper”
