INTRODUCTION

"The more we increase the active participation and partnership with young people, the better we serve them...And the more comprehensively we work with them as service partners, the more we increase our public value to the entire community."
Carmen Martinez

Members of the Clergy, Youth Coordinators, Madame President, Island Council Executive, fellow A.Y.P.A. members, greetings.

I am exceedingly honoured and take much pride in presenting to this convention, our annual report on the programmes, successes and failures of the St. Peter's A.Y.P.A. branch. I also bring you greetings from the family that is the St. Peter's community and hope that we have been gracious hosts to all of you who have traveled to attend this camp and convention. I will also use this opportunity to congratulate our Island Council Executive on successfully directing the 21st Annual Senior Weekend Camp and the 23rd Annual Convention and wish them many more achievements for the future.

The period under review (September 2006 - July 2007) has been one where the St. Peter's branch has demonstrated its ability to flourish and hold its own as a cornerstone of A.Y.P.A. on this island and indeed this Diocese.

The St. Peter's A.Y.P.A. is presently in its 37th year of establishment. The present membership acknowledges that it is not only due to the foundation laid by past members or even the perseverance and cohesiveness of the present executive that has kept us functioning for so many years, but indeed the grace of Almighty God.
