THE FUTURE
"We cannot build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future."
Franklin D. Roosevelt
The present executive has realized that A.Y.P.A. in St. Peter’s has once again become a force to be reckoned with. We have seen a steady increase in membership, commitment of members and dedication to paying subscription. Under the present executive the branch’s role in the I.C. has reached a point where we feel St. Peter’s is the branch to emulate in all areas and our branch is highly respected by the others.
However our new and prospective adult members are held back by inflexible working hours and added responsibilities. The young members are greatly in need of direction and motivation. Many of them are not aware of why they are members of the A.Y.P.A. we therefore see onus on our leaders to incorporate Anglicanism in their programmes and make use of the A.Y.P.A. Constitution/Manual and even though such programmes have been implemented we now see the process shifting to the parents to bring out/send out their children to bible study and other educational church pursuits.
Despite all these things the present executive is confident that St. Peter’s A.Y.P.A. can maintain a strong membership and meaning in the church with God’s grace and the help and cooperation of past members, parents and lastly one another.
