RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER AYPA BRANCHES

St. Peter’s has always been a very willing host to other branches and is always ready to host those willing to come and share in fellowship with us.

Early in the A.Y.P.A. year the Holy Trinity branch visited us.  The main business for that meeting was an enjoyable game-show type trivia game formulated by one of our members, Ciaran Phillip.  It was called “Don’t Loose All Your Marbles.”  This was based on the Jeopardy style of the host giving the answers and the contestants giving the questions.  Ciara Phillip played the host for the evening, which saw Ariel Paul from Holy Trinity take home all the marbles.  St. Peter’s provided refreshments after the adjournment of the meeting.

On the 22nd January of this year we hosted the St. Anne’s A.Y.P.A. at our weekly meeting.  At that meeting the main business was an obstacle course devised by Gavin Williams and Clester Paul.  Both groups were mixed then split into two groups: 1 and 2.  After each group successfully completed the obstacle course and solved the riddle at the end group 2 emerged as victors with the most points.  As is our custom St. Peter’s supplied its guests with refreshments after the meeting was adjourned.

I believe the branches whom we hosted would both agree that St. Peter’s are very affable hosts and we would like to assure them that in the coming year we will be looking for them to reciprocate our hospitality.

While branches have visited us St. Peter’s has yet to be hosted by any other A.Y.P.A. branch, hopefully this will change in the coming year.

Being part of the A.Y.P.A. in St. Kitts we at St. Peter’s and all other A.Y.P.A. branches believe that in order to sustain the vibrant visibility of the association on the island we have to support our brother and sister parishes and so St. Peter’s tries its best to attend any function held by another branch.  Most notably we attended the Post Valentine’s Dinner and Dance, which was a joint venture between the St. Anne’s and St. Thomas’ A.Y.P.A. branches.  We also enjoyed the usual Guy Fawkes Night Fireworks at St. Thomas’ Church Hall Lawn.
